It has become a tradition for us when we are on Vancouver Island, BC in Canada to check out the amazing art at the Parksville Beach Festival that hosts the Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition. This competition has been going on for over 30 years and is amazing!! This year's theme is "Wild Things ~ From Here To The Galapagos." and everyone's take on the theme was so cool! My kids and I have made the trek to see this for 2 years in a row, and it is on our list of things to see every summer now. It brings smile to my kids faces at every sculpture we see. #MadeYouSmile

My kids love to see this fun event each year, it is just so cool to see all the wonderful sculptures that artist around the world create. This is an event that is worth the trip!! The theme changes every year, but this is year all about #wildthings.

You get to vote on your favorite sculpture and this one my son Brandon is in front of with his Gymboree shirt (so fitting with a crayfish, or is it a lobster? at the beach) was my favorite so it got my vote. Check out Gymboree HERE for all the amazing deals and wonderful selection!
He just loves this shirt from Gymboree, and I do too for a couple of reasons. One, I can see him in a crowd of people very easily since it is a nice bright color. Two, it washes wonderfully!! The fact that he loves this shirt with its kid sense of style, but is also a fun new fresh take on kids clothes if great! He pairs this shirt with everything, it is endlessly versatile and mixable, creating big possibilities for him to make a cute look with simple effort! He loves the dialed up the comfort, softness in this shirt. Plus this shirt with be great for when he heads back to school!

Each sculpture was such a work of art, it was really hard to pick which was my favorite, but this cute one with the penguins was a favorite with Brandon and got his vote. It really did make him smile #MadeYouSmile. Below are a ton of other amazing sculptures from the 2018 event.
I cannot wait to see what kids of theme they have for next year and the amazing art that can been seen for 2019!! Really a moment for the whole family that #MadeYouSmile
I love these Marine Iguanas, it was a rally hard choice between this and the one I votes for!!
