Burlap and Foiled Star Card for Any Occasion

Cards can be a simple blend of a few different types of textures of papers.  One of the most striking is the blend of burlap and foil to make a stunning card for any occasion.

I created with card with the theme of stars for the Just Cards Video Hop that goes on every month.  I it is a fun challenge that a few of us card makers do to push out cardmaking skills, and this month was stars, galaxy, or space; so I did stars!  Make sure to check out my video for the links to all the other cards in the video hop!

So since the theme of the cards was galaxy or stars, I chose the star idea for the basis of my card.  I punched a bunch of stars out of the Rinea foiled Gold Star Struck paper and backed it with the Ebony Glossy paper.  I also added one large star as the focal point and added a button to the center with a little of the smae burlap from the background for the bow.

The entore card is held together with Supertite Dual Tip Max Glue Pen.  It has 2 ends that can work for large surfaces like adding the burlap to the cardbase, or adding the fine detail of small amounts of glue to the punched out section of the gold foil section.
