Mixed Media Stenciled Box

I got asked to be apart of this amazing crafty adventure of creating art with only 2 simple rules; one, use a box that was mailed to me in any way I wanted to, and two, use a StencilGirl® stencil in some way.  I decorated my box in a mixed media style and had a blast doing it!   #theplainboxsociety  #stencilgirl

We each started with a plain box mailed to us by Tina Walker for StencilGirl®.  For all the other boxes that were made check out this link HERE.  This is what the box looked like when each of us got it.  Over 

I first started with using the stencil on tissue paper with metallic modeling paste and letting it dry.  I also took Tattered Angels mists in Dragonfly to color the box.  I then added the layers of tissue to the box and added in littel Rinea foiled stars to the box and splatters of black glimmer mist.  I used Supertite White School Glue to stick everything to the box.  It works amazing and the applicator tip is perfect for applying a small amount of glue to any project!

I added a newspaper flower to the top of the box.  Check out how to make these flowers in the video below.

I used the same Supertite White School glue for the newspaper flowers, it is perfect!!

I used the same color mist on the box as I did for the flowers to help tie in the whole effect.

I even colored the inside of the box so when you opened it it had color throughout.
