"Where the Wild Things Are" Layered Scrapbook Page

It has been a while since I did a scrapbook page, but every now and then I find a set of pictures and the perfect papers, stickers, and design - everything feel into place and a fun scrapbook layout was completed!!

The easiest way to to stick paper to paper is using my Xyron Mega Runner.  It has a great hold and works perfect for scrapbook pages!! 

I used the Xyron Mega runner for the entire scrapbook layout to glue all the pictures and layers of papers together.

On some of the layers I added bits of stencil work for a little bit of interest.  Amazing how such a simple thing makes a big difference.

I used the Where the Wild Things Are paper collection from Paper House Productions.  Such a fun set of paper and stickers from the wonderful children's book.  Perfect for my little wild things!!

I love my Xyron 3" Sticker Maker, it turns any small piece of paper into a sticker which is perfect for these little paper strips I place in the top corner.

Family Flip Flap Mini Scrapbook Album

I love to give a little mini album to the grandparents each year.  This year is a little flip flap album that is clean and simple, but full of little surprise flaps that hide little fun pages.  This book is super easy to put together, all you need is 4 sheets of cardstock!  Check it out below.

I first started by taking 4 sheets of cardstock and and Xyron Tape Runner to creating the base of the flip flap books.  These are so easy to make, and kind of addicting!  Check out the video below to see how. 

I then used the Wild Whisper Forever and Always paper collection for all the insert and flaps in the book.  They were the perfect fit of colors of masculine and feminine so that each page work for all the members in my family.  Check out how I embellished each page n the video below.

To stick all the chipboard, papers, and pictures into the book I used the Xyron Tape Runner or the Xyron 3" Sticker maker to make these books to fast and easy to make!  Check out some the pages below.  Check out the video above for all the page details.

"Family" Layered Scrapbook Page

I got back into doing a scrapbook page after not doing one for a while and it was so much fun!!  I had a picture that was a perfect match for the Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest Collection.  Check at the bottom of the post for the XYRON & JILLIBEAN SOUP GIVEAWAY!!

I just love this collection Garden Harvest from Jillibean Soup.  It is great in so many ways.  I can use for for everyday pictures like this family shot we took while in Canada, but the pack also has a ton for papers perfect for autumn as well!  I pulled papers that were had black, white, or teal on them to keep the color palette neutral.  We had a ton of colors going on in the picture, so keeping a simple set of colors in the papers is best.

I have a ton of layers going on here.  It makes it fun to have these little pops of items here and there, adds to the interest!  I also added a fun little cluster in the top left corner of the page to help balance out the design.

I also believe that a page need info, so journaling is a must for a scrapbook page.  It need dates, who is in the picture and why that picture was important.  In 10 years I will most likely not remember why or when I loved this picture, so it is best to write it down!  I added a little tuck away tag as my journal area since writing on the page did not fit with the style.
