I am getting ready for 4th of July, have a fun party for just my family, so I decided to get my swing a little decorative with some accent pillows. These are so easy to make with a little felt, glue, and Poly-Fil® Premium Fiber Fill!

Learn how to make these pillows in my video below.
I started with Kunin Felt, Poly-Fil® Premium Fiber Fill, fabric glue, pompom trim, and a start die set.
I made three pillows with different designs. The first pillow is super simple as it uses 1 cut of 12 x 18 Kunin felt. I glued used fabric glue half (well almost half) you leave a little section open to stuff the Poly-Fil® Premium Fiber Fill inside to make the pillow full and fold in half to make 12 x 9 sized accent pillow.
I cut 3 stars out of white felt and also glued those to the front. Let everything dry for at least 2 hours, then fill the pillow with Poly-Fil® Premium Fiber Fill and glue the opening shut.
The second pillow uses blue felt as the base cut into two 12 x12 squares, a white pompom trim, and a red star in the middle. Glue the two sections of blue felt together around the perimeter leaving a 2 inch wide section open to fill with Poly-Fil® Premium Fiber Fill. Cut your star out of red felt and glue to the front middle, and then glue your pompom trim around the while pillow front. Add in your Poly-Fil® Premium Fiber Fill to stuff your pillow.
Once fully stuffed close the opening with glue. I used a clamp to help hold the follow closed while the glue dried.
The last pillow was made from two 9 x 12 sheet of white felt glued together around the perimeter leaving a 2 inch wide section open to fill with Poly-Fil® Premium Fiber Fill. Cut out three 2 inch wide strips of blue felt that are 12 inches long (left over from the blue pompom pillow). Add in your Poly-Fil® Premium Fiber Fill to stuff your pillow and glue closed.
Once all the pillows are dry they look great on my outdoor swing in my backyard. I added them to my existing pillows on the swing, as they are just fun little accent pillows to make my swing area a little more patriotic, a little stars and stripes throw pillow.
You could even use these inside on your couch for a little extra flair inside! Here is a close up look at them on my swing again, can you tell I like my outdoor swing!
I love chilling in my outdoor swing with my new pillows!
What fun accent pillows will you make?
