Altered Mosaic Painted Bottle

I love to keep fun shaped bottles to alter in the future, and this Old Monk bottle looked too cool not to save with all the design that was just begging to have something done with it.  I had been saving the bottle for the better part of 2 years when the perfect project came along with the paints from Marabu, a match made in heaven!

I started with an empty Old Monk Rum bottle.  It has a ton of nooks and crannies to create something really cool.

I used the Marabu glass and porcelain paint and paint pens to color all the amazing little parts of the bottle to make it look like a giant mosaic work of art.  

I used the color straight out of the paint pots of the Marabu Porcelain Paints, from the Marabu Porcelain & Glas Painter Pens, and also mixed the colors to create new ones like teal and purple.

I coated the large section on the back, top, and front with the black paint.  I still have a space to add something fun to the back if I wish.

I also used the same paint to color the heart and flame pieces glued to the front of the bottle.  I also added a little flair with some chains and a heart pendant.

To top it all off I also added in some tear drop crystals to the top as a stopper.

Fun & Funky Mixed Media Art on a Stick

I love creating just to create, with no real plan in mind just make something fun, funky, and go with it to make me happy and maybe to push myself to try something a little different that I normally would make.

This is how my art on a stick was born.  I had some amazing stencils from Rita Barakat along with her Art Fomies stamps, paired with a few supplies I had laying around my desk that I was just dying to use (the frame and art stand) it turned into something kinda cool.

I used the Colorique ink paired with Crafter's Ink from Clearsnap to add color to the entire project, from painting the frame, coloring the base, and also coloring in the eye.  

I have never been taught how to draw faces, or anything beyond a stick person really, so with the stencils from Rita Barakat it makes it super easy to create this amazing eye!!

Just remember to think outside the box on your projects, it can push your limits of your creativity and also make something really fun and funky!!

Mixed Media Art - Cinderella's Metamorphosis

We are doing a fun take on the story of Cinderella, and mine section is her metamorphosis to get ready for the ball.  I took the idea of her metamorphosis literally and made a mixed media piece with that theme in mind.

I had a ton of fun making this, here is my video!

I love to just play and create, so much fun!!
