I just love the feel of the wooden rustic signs, and guess what they are super simple to make!! Just a few simple supplies and an amazing stencil and you are set to go!! Check down below for my giveaway and also the blog hop with some amazing talented ladies!!
Various companies provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
Here is the video to show I easy it is to make these signs!
I love the mix of the different textures on this sign, from the wood to the burlap, and then the softness for the felt to and then the shine of the words - it really does make for a fun sign.
I started out using a scrap wood plank and "staining" it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to give it that walnut feel and then stenciled on the words with the NEW TCW Rustic Sign Stencils and paired it with the beautiful gold paste.
I then added in some rolled felt flowers with some burlap leaves and tied it all together with an orange rope, because autumn just begs me to use orange!
I used a staple gun to add the rope to the back of the sign, and now I have a fun little Autumn sign that I can hang up on my front door or in my house from the start of September through the end of November!
See what I mean about the scrap wood, it has some old glue on it, so that is why it is on the back of the sign and not the front!!
I used Supertite fabric Tack glue to hold the felt flowers together, and it works great!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Erin, the stenciling is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this, Erin! Perfect piece of home decor!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty Fall/Thanksgiving board. I'm thinking that I'm going to make one using my Cricut machines to cut a stencil. I'd never saw anyone use the TCW paste on wood like that. I was shocked when I saw how far the product would go. I can't believe that you were able to cover the entire stencil with 1 swipe of product from the jar. AMAZING! I can't wait until I can afford to purchase some of the "Fun in a jar". LOL Thnx Erin!
