I have not done a scrapbook page in ages, so I thought it was time to do one again. I got this super cute paper pack from Paper House Productions that is all about the beach and I had not scrapped any pictures from our last beach trip, put both together and I got a page done!
We had a ton of fun on this trip with lots of sand, swimming, sun, and collections of shells and animals (which we let go before they died). Here is a video on how I made this fun scrapbook page, plus a fun little clip of our time at the beach towards the end of the video.
I just loved this paper collection from Paper House called Sun Drenched. It is fill of amazing bright colors and amazing stickers!! I used some of the stickers and the Paper House Washi Tape to make this cute embellishment banner along with cuts of the papers from the paper pad. I used the Xyron 3" Sticker maker to make all these little cuts of paper into stickers to make this section super easy to assemble.
I love adding journaling to my scrapbook pages. In 20 years I may forget all the little details, even the year that we took this trip. Journal strips are my friend, partly because if I mess up it is an easy fix to write on a new strip, where as writing on the page itself there is no room for error. One slight issue is getting adhesive onto the strips, Xyron to the rescue with the 3" sticker maker it turns all the strips into stickers and make it super easy to apply.
One way to fit extra pictures onto you layout is make them small and treat them like embellishments. I got 3 extra pics in on this page that way! I love the Xyron Mega runner, it makes it so easy to sticker layers of paper together!!
I did take a ton more pictures, but not all can fit onto this page. This picture was a little grainy and it just did not fit the feel or size of the page, but it is a family pic and I did want to remember in one way or another, so here ya go!
What was the last thing you scrapped?
