Mixed Media Inchies **Makin's CLay & Tattered Angels & Beacon**

I love the idea of just being able to play with my crafty supplies and see what happens.  Today is all about inchies!  Inchies are 1" x 1" squares of paper that you make into an embellishments how ever you wish, your just keep it at 1" square!

You can use inchies for all kinds of things, you basically just made a little embellishment.   They can be sued for cards, scrapbook layouts, tags, junk journals, mini books, art journals, planners, really they can be used for anything!!!'

I love to just play with my new supplies to see what they do, and when I got this fun new Styrofoam cutter from Floracraft I had to just see what it could do!

Fish Key Chains **Makin's Clay & Beacon & Decoart**

I wanted to make something fun for the boys (my boys and nephews) for the summer, but what little crafty items do you give to boys - key chains!!!  They do not have to sue them just like a key chain as what little boys have keys, but as a backpack fob or vacation bag zipper pull why not?!?!?

I used some of the amazing Makin's white clay mixed with blue DecoArt Traditions paint to make the fish from the Makin's clay push mold in a fun light blue color.  Here is a full video on how I made these cute fish key chains!

50th Annivesary Dessert Stand **Deflecto & DCC Blog Hop**

My in-laws have their 50th wedding anniversary this summer and for the little party we had I made them a dessert try all decked out in the colors of their wedding - ice blue!

Mini Junk Journals **Beacon Live Event**

I tried my hand at my first live event on Facebook for Beacon Adhesives and it was so much fun!!!  I made a mini book (video below) from some of the card sets we got from DCWV and the Classy Copper paper pad, love both of these products as they have this amazing foil treatment on them!!  Check it out!

Bag Tags for School or Vacation **Deflecto & Tattered Angels & Beacon & Canvas Corp & 7 Gypsies**

Take a look at my fun bag tags I made for my kids to place on their bags for vacation or school backpacks for a fun ID tag just using their first name initials, and I just had to make them mixed media style :)

Here is a detailed video on how I made these fun tags for my kids.

I used the first name initial of each of the kids names for the large letter on the tag help identify which was which, and then picked their favorite color for the papers, ribbons, and embellishments.

So now my kids have fun clips to place on their bags to claim them as theirs!!

Mixed Media Dominoes **Tattered Angels**

I love to just play with my paints and see what happens, so this time I am playing with some dominoes and Tattered Angels paints to create something fun.  I found the larger dominoes in the clutter of my house cleaning up (that happened when you have young kids), the rest have long since been tossed away, but as I held these two dominoes in my hand as I vacuumed under the couch from where they had been since lost my creativity struck and beckoned me to paint them.  I then remembered that years back I had come across some tiny little dominoes and thought they would be fun to craft with some day, well that day had come and I set off to create, vacuum left sitting by the couch as I could not wait to make these into something pretty. 

 

I started out by painting them with black gesso and them doing lots of layered of paints and mists with stencils.  Last was the stamps to add that finishing touch.  Here is a video tutorial on how I made them.

50th Annivesary Wedding Frame **Deflecto & Eyelet Outlet & Beacon**

My in-laws have their 50th Wedding Anniversary this August and we have have a big family reunion and party to celebrate - shhhhhh it is a surprise!!  For the party I wanted to put out a picture from their wedding day, but I could not just leave it as a plain frame, I had to decorate it!

Here is a video tutorial on how i made the frame including using the washi tape to make the background.

I used the Deflecto 5"x7" Beveled Edge Frame and Eyelet outlet Blue Glitter Washi Tape and Pearl Sticky Back Swirls to add to the elegance of the frame.  The colors match from their wedding colors.

Sometimes adding a few pearls and flowers just add that perfect touch to make an amazing gift!!
