When my son Brandon was 6 months old, he made all kinds of fun sounds. His own baby song. He blew raspberries, babbled, cooed, giggled, and had his own little funny clicking sounds. One day I had in him the bumbo and I got these pictures of him singing his song (hence all the funny faces he is making).
I used a sketch from Swirlydoo to create this LO. If you head on over to Sketches in Thyme you can participate in the open challenge, where you can use any sketch to create your project. Just link up and join the fun!!

Say Cheese **Frosted Designs** and PPP
My youngest son Brandon (20 months) has the cutest face when you pull out the camera. He squishes up his face into a smile and says "cheese". I do not always get those cute faces because he only holds them for a second, but this picture is pretty close.
I made this layout with inspirations for a few places. First was a light from Camilla my swirly friend in our Sept RR challenge (thanks for the great page to lift!!). I also got the colors from September's Prima Product Pick and Palette, they were just so rich and pretty I had to use them!! I even used some yummy Prima flowers, rubons, and lace/bling!!
I also used this LO for Frosted designs. They are having their punch challenge right now. I used the punch in a couple of different locations. First on the border above the photo (border punch) and also some punched out flowers of various shapes to create some of the layered flowers.

Frosting Monster ***SiT and SWV***
My two boys have birthdays 1 day apart (Dec 31 for Brandon and Jan 1 for Morgan) so we decided to throw a little party at our house for the two of them. All the older kids and Morgan got to decorate Dinosaur shaped cupcakes, but for Brandon and his first birthday I made him his own special "baby cake" and frosted it with blue icing and sprinkles so it would really show up well in the pictures, and it did!! He was so cute, at first he was not sure what to do, then once he tasted it all he wanted was to eat more and more. He was even so good as to keep his little party hat on and not rip it off :)
I decided to try some thing new to me, color blocking with black. I have seen this technique where almost every paper layer is matted in black, and I thought I can do that!! It is really simple, all you need to do is create layers with your papers (cardstock or patterns) and mat them in black. If you have fussy cut embellishments you can ink them in black to make it easier rather than cutting them all out again with a black mat. It really creates a striking fun layout when you are done. I love the black with all the bright colors, it really makes the whole layout just pop!! For more information about this technique please head on over to Scrap with V's blog!!
I used a wonderful sketch from Sketches in Thyme, so if you would like to use the same sketch, just post your own layout over there to win a fun prize. You have until the end of the month to enter!!

Delight **Scrapbook Kits by Scrap with V**
This is the third page I created for Scrapbook Kits by Scrap with V. There are some wonderful kits available for you with full instructions on how to make the pages in the kit, including color photos detailed instructions, and all materials needed to create the projects!!
This is one of the pages I created to go with the my kit - Delight!! This picture is of my youngest son Brandon at my mum's house when I went to CKC in June of 2011. IO go out for a fun day of scrapping and I come home to the cutest picture I just had to scrap them!! He was having fun being pushed around the house in the toy grocery cart, and he thought it was just the best, until his big brother tipped the cart over and he fell out. No harm done, but since then no more cart riding, he won't even get near the thing, lol. I loved the fun colors and layers I used to create this page. It came from some wonderful Bo Bunny and American Crafts papers, with the fun little extra bits an bobs added in there too!!
So if you are interested in creating this page for yourself, please pop on over to Scrapbook Kits by Scrap with V and take a look. There are also lots of other fun kits to purchase too!!

Once Upon a Springtime **Just Tracy's Crafts Challenges with Frosted Designs**
I have the wonderful opportunity to be the GDT for Just Tracy's Challenge Blog this month.
The theme this month is "wings and things" and I thought what is better than faeries, butterflies, and angels. So head on over and join the fun!!
The pictures are of my little girl Kristen when she was 3 months old. We were at the picture studio taking these and she was just hamming it up for the camera. She was cooing, smiling, sticking her tongue out, and just being so sweet and innocent. One of the only times I put her in a dress, but she was wearing a cute little pink collared polo dress with matching pink bloomers. I miss her so much.
I had fun with my glitter in this LO. I glittered the fairy, the chipboard pieces, and parts of the cut out flowers. It is so hard to see all the dimension and shimmer this layout has, but in real life it just sparkles!! Tip when using loose glitter, use really good glue, don't be skimpy in the application of your glue (I like Martha Stewart glue the best) and if there are patches of bald no glittery spots when you are done, just apply more glue and reapply more glitter!!
I had fun with all my flourishes by glittering them to make them shine!! You can head on over to Frosted Designs and enter in the flourish challenge.
Enjoy!!
