DIY Garden Markers from Dollar Tree Items

I love to garden, growing and eating my own fresh herbs, veggies, and fruits is amazing!!  One problem I have come across is I forget what I planted 2-3 months later.  The little plastic sticks you get in the pots of plants get lost or I planted from seed and forgot what I put in that bed.  So time to make some plant markers, and why not make them cute too!!

Here is a video tutorial on how to make these fun plant markers.

I started off with a few large glass gems and crafts sticks from Dollar Tree, Supertite Multigrab 260 Glue, some colorful Sharpies, and Etchall Dip n Etch liquid.

1) Soak the glass gems in the Etchall liquid for 15 minutes to etch the glass.  This helps give the glass a "tooth" for the Sharpie to stick to so it will not wipe off.

2) Clean and dry the glass gems and return the Etchall liquid back to the container, it is reusable!!

3) Write the names of the plants on the glass stones.  I had some fun and added in some fun swirls and shapes to liven it up a bit.

4) Glue the stones to the craft sticks with the Supertite Multigrab 360.

Last thing to do is place the markers in your plants!!  Here is the one for mint, so yummy in water!

Here is rosemary, I think this is my favorite herb, it goes with almost everything!!

I love basil in the summer, it is so fresh and perfect with pasta!

Oregano is amazing, stash fresh year round here in Texas and a staple in my red sauce.

Fresh lettuce is so good, just run out an pick it when I want a salad!

Peppers grow like weeds here in Texas, a must have staple in my garden.

Sage is so good, brown it up with a little butter for a brown butter sage sauce over chicken is so good!!!

What fun plants do you grow in your garden?

Check out the amazing Supertite glue that I used on this fun project!!  Low chemicals and the best glue on the market!!  I used the Multi-Grab 360 Adhesive for this glue since it is water proof!
