I have a ton of rosemary in my front yard and my husband brought up the idea that I should use it for some type of craft, so I thought how fun would they be in a wreath!!  Add a pretty bow and then a little hanging ornament and viola a cute little Christmas decor item!

For full video details on how to make this wreath please click below.

These wreaths are so simple to make, a little bit of rosemary, make a pretty bow, add a cute ornament and you are ready to go!!

This is perfect for indoors our outdoor decor, a door hangar, ornament on the tree, a mini wreath for a door like a dorm, or as a cute gift for teachers or friends!!  The rosemary is perfectly usable even when it has dried!!

Brutus Monroe Chalk Ink Test Lab - Part 1: Stamping, Watercolor, Markers **Giveaway**

Ever since I received the Brutus Monroe Chalk Inks I have heard they can replace all my ink types in this amazing all in one ink pad.  I had to test it out.  So here is my first of a few tests to see how it holds up!!

So for these tests I did a video to show how all the inks compered against each other on various trials.  Brutus Monroe is offering an amazing deal for all Chalk Ink Pads plus Chalk Ink Re-inkers for the next couple months - a 20% off your ink purchase

coupon code: erinreed

Plus here is the best part, you have a chance to win a set in mini chalk inks for just subscribing to my YouTube Channel.  All you need to do is
1) Subscribe to my video - if you are already a subbie awesome!!
2) Leave a comment on this video that you have subbed and would like to win the prize!!

There will be 4 winners, each receiving one set of 4 mini chalk inks- see pic below!!  Amazing!!! Here is my video.

Here is the prize and there are 4 winners!!!
**colors may vary for prize**
I tested the ink against a variety of other inks:
Brutus Monroe Chalk ink in Wagon
Ranger Distress ink in Fired Brick
StazOn in Pumpkin
Dare 2B Artzy in Red
Studio G Chalks in Red
Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink in Tangerine
Prima Quick Dry fluid chalk ink in Brick Wall
Prima Resist Chalk Edger in Rose Bud

I kept all the color as close as possible in the range of red and oranges.  First I tested the ink on plain white cardstock to see how easy it stamped and if it smeared when applied.  I then tested if the ink has the ability to act as a watercolor.  Refer to the video for full results.

I then tested each for the 8 inks on glossy paper and tested how well it stayed to the paper.  Since stampers love to color in their stamped imaged I also tested each of the stamps with 4 types of markers:
Spectrum Noir in CG2 (light green)
Tombow Dual Brush Pens in 055 (yellow)
Copic Sketch in Y17 (yellow)
Faber-Castell PITT artist pen big brush in Dark Naples ochre 184.
For results please see with video above.

I will say that the Brutus Monroe inks were amazing for all these tests.  I loved that they held up to different kinds of papers, that I could watercolor with them, and that they held up to 4 different kinds of markers without a fail!!  Amazing inks!!

Here is the full video tutorial on how I made these fun Christmas votive candle holders.

Decorative Letter for Home Decor

I love the large decorative paper mache letters you find at all the big box craft stores.  You can do so much them with them, and when I got my Rinea foil papers I knew I had to make something fun with it!!

This letter can be used for all kinds of things, as a decorative mantle home decor piece, by the way the "R" is for Reed my last name.

Right now it is sitting on my mantel over my fireplace, but this is so light it can be hung on a wall, on a table surface, as a letter for a kids door.  You can even do the rest of the letters in your name and make it larger.  The possibilities are endless.

Here is the full video on how I made this fun decorative letter.

The main part of the letter is covered in Rinea foils, I used the embossed copper color and it make it look so rich and beautiful!! I even added in the foils to the flower up in the corner!!  Top it off with some beautiful brads and pearls swirls from eyelet Outlet and you have a beautiful decor piece.

The paper takes distressing really well.  I used a little bit of sandpaper to distress the foil and it looks amazing!!

Troll Monster Rocks - Inspired by the Movie Trolls - Art Abandonment

My community started a fun little event where you find a rock, paint it how ever you wish and then hide it for someone to find to brighten their day.  It is part of the art abandonment movement.  The person finding the rock art can chose to keep it or re-hid it.  I think this idea is amazing, and a fun way to get the community to have some fun. I chose to paint my rock like little rock troll monsters inspired from the Trolls movie that just came out.

Here are the inspiration figures from the movie.

I just thought these little flowers and funny little furry things were too cute not to do my own version of them on rocks.  Here is my video tutorial on how I made these fun little rocks.

I ask all the Tattered Angels crew members if they were interested in doing a fun event like this where they live, and they loved the idea.  So for this event we changed the info on the back to #tatteredangelsrocks so if people find them they can look it up and find others around the world!!

Here are some up close pictures of my rocks.

So now if you find a fun little painted rock in your neighborhood you know what it is all about!!

When hiding these fun little rocks you pick a public place like a park, playground, library, etc and place it in a hidden place, not too hidden but not in the middle of a path.  Here are our hiding places.   I have 3 kids and 2 of them want to hind their rock up in a tree.  We hid these 4 days ago and they still have not been found, it is fun to see how fast they will be found!!

Now it is your turn to go our and spread the love of art!!
