I have had an itch to make some pineapples for a bit of fun. So why not make some shiny ones with some beautiful Rinea foiled paper!!! Pair that with some Floracraft Styrofoam and they are a perfect light weight out decor crafty project, even great for the kids to make!!
Here is a video on how to make these fun pineapples step by step!
Rinea has partnered up with Floracraft to make some amazing project, Styrofoam and Rinea foiled paper are a perfect match for all your decor needs!!!
I made two different types of pineapples, one short and fat, and one tall and skinny. The shape is all dependant on how you shape the sytrofoam to start with.
I used the amazing Rinea foiled papers in Gold and Emerald in both Star Struck and Glossy. They made such cute pineapples!!!
To give the pineapple its shape I used the Floracraft Styrofoam cube and
ball using the heat wand to help give it a shape that would suit a
pineapple!

I got a stapler and a guillotine paper trimmer from Swingline to create with and I was tasked to make something a bit different, so I thought to myself why not create art with a stapler and color the staples to make them different colors. So that is exactly what I did. I colored the staples and then also created designs by stapling them on the paper itself.
Here is a video on how to color your staples and then my tips and tricks on how to create staple art for a card.
It is really easy to color the staples, just use a pen that writes on metal before you staple them. I personally used a Bic Mark Its, or a Bic Marking pen. I colored the staples in various colors of green, pink, and blue. They took the color wonderfully!!
The first card I made was a simple shape of various types of abstract plants in different colors. I cut out the papers first and the drew the shape I was looking for, and then started to staple away. I used my Xyron Creative Lite to add adhesive to the back of the papers once I did the staples to make them sticky to add to the card.
I love the simplicity of the card, because then you focus on the technique of the staple art. This would look amazing on a black cardstock too!
You need a good weight cardstock to do this technique, as a light weight paper will rip and tear on you.
The second card I went a little more extravagant and had a bit more fun playing with my staples. I felt a bit more comfortable with the idea of creating art with staples, and blended different colors of green to make a fur or pine tree on the card.
I love how the staples look like the needles on the tree. They are all going different directions and make it look like a real tree!!
I just drew a rough template for the tree and then went freehand on the internal stapling. I loved the look when it was all done!
