I love February with the feeling of love in the air. Right now with my
kids is a fun little month with cute cards and always lots of candy, but
it does put a smile on my face. So here is a cute little tree to
brighten up my house for the season.
I made the entire tree from scratch with wood, clips, paint, paper, and glue. Here is a video tutorial about how I made this fun little tree.
This is actually round 2 of the same tree I made for Christmas/Winter. Click on the picture to see the post about that tree.
I made this tree with the wonderful VersaGrip Double Clip Sign holders from Deflecto, they are the entire inspiration behind all this cuteness.
I then used the wonderful papers, rope, paint, and mists from Canvas Corp and Tattered Angels to give the base of the color and feel of the tree. I used Canvas Corp Pink and Red Rope, and for papers I used White Cardstock, Sending Love Words on Ivory, Solid Pink on Ivory Cardstock, Red on White Mini Dot reverse, Pink & Ivory Mini Dot Reverse, Pink & Ivory Ribbon Stripe, and Hot Pink & White Ribbon Stripe. I also used Tattered Angels Metallic Silver High Impact Paint, Cross My Heart Glimmer Mist, and Party Pink Glimmer Mist to give the shimmer and shine!
For that extra little something I used the super cute little Wooden Conversation Hearts from Creative Embellishments. Each little heart has a fun little saying like you would find on the candies. Spray with with mist and they are almost cute enough to eat!
Come join in on the CE Monthly challenge. You have until the last day of each month 11:55 pm eastern time to enter. The winners are announced the day after the challenge ends and on the same month’s challenge post.
For my little tree I just went with the idea of the heart and love, I
pretty much just did a vague interpretation of this inspiration, but
that is what it is inspiration!
To top of my tree I needed a cute little something to complete he look. I had this fun die from Die-Namites dies "Love Struck" of a heart with cupid in the middle and it works wonderfully!!
Send some love to someone in your family, either with a hug, card, or just saying something nice. It is truly what Valentine's Day is all about. My hope is seeing this cute little tree in my front hall will remind me and the rest of my family to be a little kinder to each other!
