Merry Christmas 2015!!

This past year of 2015 has been a busy one, filled with all kinds of new things and excitement to be had in our family!  Here is a recap of our events of this year!

Mike had started on a huge milestone this year, getting his Masters in Science Technology Commercialization (MSTC) from UT in the McCombs School of Business.  He is super busy between classes an work, but it will soon be over when he graduates this May!!  He is also due to be promoted to Major soon as soon as Congress gets there butt in gear and signs him in!  He has been busy building the next phase to our backyard by planting our orchard of 2 pear trees, 3 apple trees, 3 peach trees, pomegranate, blackberry bush, and elm tree.  Soon to come is our bench swing and fig trees, in construction as I write this!!

Morgan Started 4th grade and graduated from Bear Cub Scouts to Weblos 1 in August.  He has played 2 season of baseball (fall and spring) and became a huge hitter plus getting much better at throwing and catching for his first time to play!  Morgan loves to play Minecraft, and really any computer game, playing with his neighborhood friends, hunt around the backyard for friends (reptile or the fluffy kind), and becoming a preteen next week when he turns 10!!

Brandon has had a huge year of firsts starting Kindergarten, Playing baseball for the first time (both spring and fall), getting into all kinds of michef in the back yard with his brother (also finding all kinds of bugs and critters), playing with the many friends just steps away from our house, and being the lovable goofball he can be!  He is almost 6 now, love his computer games,  and is super exited to see the new Star Wars movie with his friends for his party!

Catherine turned 3 this past August, is in Pre-School a couple of days a week and loves it, and had her first class of gymnastics at the local community center and really blossomed toward the end (going for round 2 in Jan).  He got to tag along to all her big birthers events of baseball and scouts, but loved every minute of being around all the big kids.  She loves her princesses, babies, riding her scooter, and playing her with neighbor friends.  She is really becoming independent and stands her ground to her big brothers!!!

We had lots of little adventures this year going to both sets of grandparents houses throughout the year, heading to the Austin Aquarium, a local amusement park, local lake, Galveston Beach, San Antonio, bowling, swimming, peach picking, strawberry picking, dino park, and tons of parks to keep everyone busy and happy!

I have been super busy being a stay at home mom carting the kids all over kingdom come to their various activities, holding down the fort while Mike had been busy with work and school, and having blast at my ballet class once a week (it is never to late to learn to to be a ballerina!!)  I have delved deeper to the world of art becoming more of  an artist in my own right (lots of examples here on my blog) working for various companies from local shops to magazines to manufactures.  I still have to pinch myself that I get paid to do what I rally love and get to stay home with my kids!!  My garden is really starting to take off since the planters are in full swing now producing tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapenos, broccoli, onions, radishes, lettuces, kale, green beans, summer squash, winter squash, cucumbers, eggplant, snap peas, rosemary, sage, cilantro, oregano, basil, parsley, thyme, potatoes, garlic, and soon to come asparagus, rhubarb, blueberries, and limes (they just need time to grow some more)!!

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!

Love the Reed Family XOXOXO

Art Deco Winter Bottles **Paper House & Xyron & May Arts**

I love the look of decorated wine bottles, and when I saw these beautiful blue colored ones I knew I had to create something with them.  The blue reminded me of the cold, and I wanted some form of a decoration in my house post Christmas for the winter days before Valentines Day hit, so winter themed bottles it is!

I will admit my wine choosing as of late was determined by the color and shape of the bottle, but luckily the wine in these bottles was pretty good.......such a hard job, hahaha!!

Here is a video tutorial of how I made these beautiful bottles.

Here is a close up of each bottle.

I used some of the most amazing products to create these snow lovelies the Paper House stickers and die cuts of all the wonderful snowflakes you see on the bottles are what brought these pretty winter bottles to life.

Winter Wonderland Die cut Sticker Pack (glittery Snowflakes), Baby It's Cold Outside Puffy Stickers, Snowflake 3D stickers, and Christmas Costume Puffy Stickers (snowflakes) were all used on the bottles.

Here are the ribbons and lace from May Arts Ribbons and to hold it all together Xyron Adhesives.
