December Daily 2018 Book Creation & Prep

I am biting the bullet and doing another December Daily for 2018.  This marks the 2nd year in row for doing this fun project.  Today is all about creating the book, decorating the front, inside, and back covers, and getting the prep work done to make each page a little easier when I do them in December.  Check out the end of the post for the info about the XYRON & GRAPHIC 45 GIVEAWAY!!!

Various companies provided me with some product to create this project.  The opinions I share are solely my own.

Check out the video here to see how created the book using chipboard and washi tape, then covered the book with the amazing Graphic 45 Christmas Magic papers and added a few other fun elements.

I started out with some chipboard I had saved and some washi tape to create the basic design of the book cover.

I took the beautiful papers from the G45 Christmas Magic collection and decorated up the front cover by sticking all the papers and fussy cut outs using my Xyron Mega Runner and 3" Sticker Maker.  I also added in a couple of pieces of chipboard and a flower, oh and a little bit of glitter.

I also added some of the other amazing papers from the G45 collection to the inside and back covers.  I am leaving the pages blank for now, because I will make them as those days come in December.  One page for each day, but the sizes will vary depending on the size of the inserts on the page protectors.

Make sure to come back to check out all the fun things I will be putting into book each week on my YouTube Channel!!

DIY Etched & Vinyl Dollar Tree Vase

I got the amazing chance to teach a class at the MKNG festival hosting by AFCI in New York in September 2018.  I had a fun filled class where we etched vases, added vinyl to them, and then added in foiled flower in the vase.

Various companies provided me with some product to create this project.  The opinions I share are solely my own.

Here is a video on how to make this fun vase!

It is really simple, I took a Dollar Tree glass vase and added vinyl strips to the glass and then added the etching creme.

Let the creme sit for 15 minutes, and then add it back to the container since it reusable!!  Just look at the etching!

I then added some beautiful glitter Style Tech Craft vinyl to the top of the vase in neutral colors to make this vase useful year round!

We then made some flowers using Rinea foiled paper to go into the vases.  These are super easy to use and so fun to make!  I used Supertite White School Glue to hold the flowers together and it works great!!  Check out this video to see how to make these fun Rinea foiled flowers!

Coupon for 10% off your Supertite order of $5 or more

Check out some of the picture from my class at In the MKNG from New York!

The class went wonderfully thanks so much to all my sponsors!!

I also put real flowers into the vase as well, it looks great any way to use it!
