DIY Paper Bow and Wrapping Paper

A friend of mine just had a baby and I got her a gift, diapers.  I know boring, but this is her 3rd little girl and she has EVERYTHING, so as a fellow mom of many, I went for the practical gift of something she needs rather that just more stuff; diapers to the rescue!!  I had the dilemma of the wrapping, I could get her a cute bag, or buy some wrapping paper that is all about baby, but then I got my box in the mail from Paper House Productions and it was all baby papers....I knew I had to make something with it.  So with this dilemma of no baby wrapping paper or bag, I thought I can fix that!

Welcome to the Xyron and Paper House Productions blog Co-Hop, there are so many amazing designers all apart of this and I am on the last day of the hop, so make sure you got back and check out all the other amazing projects from both companies!!

With a paper bag from Target and my bag of diapers, I set out to wrap the present for this wonderful new baby girl.  Now the next problem, I had baby boy colors for papers, so I added in a little pink paper from the Home Front Girl collection from Paper House Productions to the bow, and boom a baby girl wrapped present.

Here is a video on how to wrap your own present using a paper bag and some scrapbook supplies.

My Xyron Creative Station and Mega Runner were the perfect adhesive for wrapping this cute little present.  I tried to use clear tape and it kept un-sticking, but the adhesive from Xyron held tight!

I sprinkled in some little puffy stickers from the Hello Baby collection (same as the striped and dotted papers) to the present, and I added in the fun little 3D Shimmers tag that lights up to the present for the two older girls to play with.  That giraffe is just too cute!!

Over 70 Ideas for Paper Craft Embellishments from a Swap

I have been part of a swap for the last 3 months where we swap stamped images, punched out items, or die cut items.  They do not have to follow any theme or style, it is purely a way to share the supplies you have with others and get back a ton of other fun stamped images, punched images, and die cut images that you may not have of you own.

Here is a video where I show off each and every piece.  Each month 10 people participate and you send off 3 embellishments to each person, each being a little different.  So you mail out 27 items total (you do not send out the ones to yourself, you keep those for you).  So after then end of 3 months I had 81 new embellishments, but a few were repeated or just a different color so it really came out to be more like 72.

These embellishments can be elaborate or simple, even a cute little butterfly, cloud, or tag punched out is fun to send along.

One months I sent along some fun die cute glasses and mustache, they got 2 glasses and 1 mustache person

Here is a sample of month month I got back.  Everything from punched out simple heart and circle shapes, to fun water colored feathers, and then a cute set of out door dies that include trees, a tent, moon, and a campfire!!

Here is a video where I stamped out imaged and water colored them as a more elaborate item to pass along.

The sky is the limit of what you can send, and it only costs a couple of stamps since all the items are mostly paper!!!  Now I have a ton of embellishments to use on my scrapbook pages, mini albums, card, tags, ATC, and more!!!

Thanks for stopping on by!!

Magic Trick Mother's Day Card

My daughter got for a little prize the magic wallet, a fun little trick that is an illusion, and I thought my can't we turn this idea into a fun card for Mother's Day?

Here is a video tutorial on how to make this fun magic wallet card.

You can do so much with this little magic trick card, add a little money in it, a gift card, or a little stamped sentiment like I did.  The ideas are endless!!

My son even got into making his own card, he love the idea of the magic trick, so I set him up with his own stamps, inks, and brush to watercolor with and he had a blast!!
