I have a ton of little crafty items that need good ways of being stored, and buttons are one of them. So I grabbed some empty spice jars, and decorated them up with colored coded tops to match my button colors. Here are my pink, light blue, and yellow button jars!
Adding a few cute stamps, color coded papers, and painted lids helps make these jars come to life to help store my button. Watch my video tutorial on how to clean your jars, paint the tips, and a TON of crafty tips on helping you create your own crafty storage.
Using the Pink and Main papers, dies, and stamps make these jars just too cute. Even more fun to pull out and play with these buttons that have been in my stash for ever! I just love these ice cream cones, they re just too cute!!!
I painted to tops of the jars to match the colors of the buttons. Now I only have about 15 more colors to go, but at least this is a start and will make but button hunting easier. The best way to use your crafty supplies is to make them easy to find. If they are hidden or not seen, then you never use them!
All the papers are held on to the jars with the amazing Xyron sticker makers. They turn everything into a stickers, it makes crafting a breeze!!!
Since this is a hop, you know we have to have a little blog hop candy. Pink and Main and Xyron are each giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to Pink and Main and a Xyron Mega Runner. ReplyDeletebox that is full of buttons of all sizes and colors. The jars are pretty too.
thanks for sharing.
yes, and i have so many now that my mom gave me a ton of replica spices - one for each color tone :)
DeleteWhat a great idea! I always feel bad when I throw out little jars like that because I know there must be another use for them!
ReplyDeleteSuper adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable. I am very thrifty and any way to recycle stuff is fine with me!!.
ReplyDeleteI am doing what my father used to do with baby food jars. I nail the lids to the bottom of the upper shelf where my supplies are and then fill the spice or medicine jars with my smalls and screw them into the lid. This way I have doubled my storage area and can see all my nails, screws, buttons and hooks at a glance.
