Tombow USA and Paper Issues
Blog Hop!
You probably got here from Heather Joyce’s blog but if you stumbled across my blog go the Paper Issues Blog to start!
I wanted to create a fun and funky card for my mother for Mother's
Day. I fell in love with these yellows and oranges with black and white
all together, it just made everything pop!! Here is to a funky and wild mother's Day Card!!
I took a 12x12 sheet of patterned paper from Paper Issues and cut it to 10 x 6.5 inches and folded it in half as the base of my card. I then took the bright yellow, bright orange, and black Tombow Dual Brush Pens and used the brush end to out line the card base and also all the layers on the card. This helps each layer pop out from the one under it and also add lots of dimension.
I then used the wonderful Tombow Power Tabs to pop up the square chipboard frame I also used the orange pen to color in some of the circles.
I used the Tombow Mono Liquid Glue Aqua to stick the bird diecut to the frame. I just love the pen tip application, so easy and precise to use!!
To glue all of the layers on to each other I used the Tombow Glue Tape Stamp Runner. It is such and easy tape runner to use, and the best part is I can add just a stamp of adhesive to one section if it needs a bit more by turned it on its end!!
Just look at all these fun bits and bobs found in the March Swag kit from Paper Issues. Each month is just crammed with a ton of wonderful goodness!!
I also created a fun second card for my mother-in-law since there were so many yummy goodies in the Paper Issues March Swag Bag!! This time I used the Bright Orange and Bright Blue Tombow Dual Brush Pens to outline the card and the same Tombow adhesives to glue everything togetther..
