DIY Foam Tape PLUS a Shaker Bee Fun Fold Card

I love to add a pop of dimension to my cards to make them shakers or just to elevate an elements to make it higher - so to do that you need a 3D elements to raise up that stamp or image.  Foam dots, squares or mounting tape are the easiest and lightness way to raise up those embellishments, but that foam tape can get super expensive - so why not learn to make your own!!  In this post I show you how to make your own foam tape and then use it on a bee themed shaker card!!

I used my Xyron Tape runner to stick all the layers of paper together, and they stick wonderfully!!  I also made these card not only a shaker card, but a fun fold card!!  So there is a fun extra hidden fold in the card!

Directions and measurements for this card are as follows:

1. Cut Cardstock into an A2 sized card 5.5 X 8.5 fold in half
2. Cut other half into 4.25 x 7.75 fold in half - this is the inside hidden card
3. Back mat (yellow) dimensions - 4 1/8 x 5 1/4

I also used my Xyron 3" Sticker Maker for all the sequins and the cut out stamped and colored items such as the bees and the hive.

I also made my own foam 3D sheets.  This is perfect for making shaker cards like the one on the front of these bee cards.  Check out the video below to see how easy it is to make your own foam sheets - then you can cut it to be any shape you want!!!

Making your own foam sheets is so easy with Xyron, and you can use any size sticker maker or the Creative Station you want to make these!!  Best part is you can cut the sheets to any size you want!

Stenciled Glitter Background Cards

Need to make some quick and pretty Valentine's Day cards for those special people in your life?  Check out this fun idea using the NEW glitter paint and stencils to make something amazing!!

I used various TCW stencils with Adaline izink Diamond Glitter Paint to make the backgrounds for each other these cards.  I used a ton of the different colors of the glitter with about 8 different stencils, and they all look amazing!

I then die cut out a heart and stamped LOVE on it and then used a homemade "pop" dot from leftover cardboard from a postal box run through my Xyron 3" Sticker maker to pop the heart off of the glitter background.

The cardboard is stick on both sides from running it through the Xyron machine and it adds a little elevation to the heart on the card!

I then used my Xyron Mega runner to stick the glitter background to the card base, work like magic every time!

You can make these cards for any time of year, just use a fun sentiment of your choice!
