Storm - DT Reveal

There are a lot of personal things in this LO, first I wrote about the storm of chaos our family as been in since my daughter Kristen died.  The pic is of my oldest son Morgan, he is 5 in this pic, but his sister died when he was 3 years old.  Our family has been through a lot with her passing, our very own storm of chaos.

In the writing I wrote "Death and sadness have crossed your path at such a young age, yet you have prevailed and weather the STORM of chaos in your life, for time does heal, and for this you are stronger than you will ever know".

For the time passing I used the clocks under the photos and all the clocks are pointed at the time of her death (noon).  I also put her angel day (day of her death) on the calendar card and blotched out March 6th in red to block out that day.   The storm is from the clouds, but they are dark and confusing clouds as our life has been since then.  The splatters all over the page is the mess we have dealt with since her death (pain and suffering), but the metal parts, the lacing, and the circle are the strength that holds our family together. I also distress the papers and his picture by folding it up to create the white lines on it, to show how he has weathered this time in his life.

So as I said, a personal page to help me get through this time, and to acknowledge such a brave little boy, my son.

Frosted Designs is having a great challenge this week, stitching!!  I did two different methods on my layout.  First I stitched the metal button onto the page, I did not glue them, I feel it gives the page a much more finished look, plus it helps hold multiples layers of paper together.

Second is the lacing stitching.  I used my crop-a-dial big bite and punched holes to insert the eyelets into the page, I then laced the fiber (I painted it black with glimmer glam) in a X-cross fashion, and taped it onto the back to hold it together.
