December Daily 2018 Book Creation & Prep

I am biting the bullet and doing another December Daily for 2018.  This marks the 2nd year in row for doing this fun project.  Today is all about creating the book, decorating the front, inside, and back covers, and getting the prep work done to make each page a little easier when I do them in December.  Check out the end of the post for the info about the XYRON & GRAPHIC 45 GIVEAWAY!!!

Various companies provided me with some product to create this project.  The opinions I share are solely my own.

Check out the video here to see how created the book using chipboard and washi tape, then covered the book with the amazing Graphic 45 Christmas Magic papers and added a few other fun elements.

I started out with some chipboard I had saved and some washi tape to create the basic design of the book cover.

I took the beautiful papers from the G45 Christmas Magic collection and decorated up the front cover by sticking all the papers and fussy cut outs using my Xyron Mega Runner and 3" Sticker Maker.  I also added in a couple of pieces of chipboard and a flower, oh and a little bit of glitter.

I also added some of the other amazing papers from the G45 collection to the inside and back covers.  I am leaving the pages blank for now, because I will make them as those days come in December.  One page for each day, but the sizes will vary depending on the size of the inserts on the page protectors.

Make sure to come back to check out all the fun things I will be putting into book each week on my YouTube Channel!!

Sweet Journey **Imagination Crafts & ScrapPlezier & Tattered Angels** w. Tutorial

I wanted to play with my black and clear gesso, see what it could do.  Art journals are perfect for trying out new supplies, matching colors, and just playing and having fun with your craft.  I had not plan as to where I was going with this page, I just started layering up the stencils with the gesso, picking colors of mist to go with the paper and had fun getting messy!!

Below is my step by step process of how I created this art journal mixed media page and some tips I learned with the supplies used in this project.

The stencils, glitter, glossy resist paper, and stamps are all from Imagination Crafts.  These products have such wonderful details they make any project shine!!

I used the wonderful Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to really make this project shine.  I played with the colors in the resist paper and it crated this wonderful grungy feel.  I just love green and black together, with the pop of gold its is just magic!!

Spooktactular **The Robin's Nest**

I used the wonderful paper, Dew Drops, Rub-Ons, and glitter cardstock from The Robin's Nest to create this layout.  Please head on over to The Robin's Nest Blog to see more details!!
