Crepe Paper Flower Decor

Paper flowers are so much fun to make, and the best part if that you do not have to water them!!  Below I show how to make the same flower, but with a simple tweak to the petal shape it looks like a whole different flower!

This post also contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.  Various companies provided me with some product to create this project.  The opinions I share are solely my own.

Here is a video to see how to make these awesome flowers.

The DCWV crepe paper is wonderful to work with, it has a give which allows you to stretch the petals and make some wonderful shapes.   These Petal Paper stacks are being sold at JOANN. DCWV has been a long-time producer of the stack-- a set of coordinated papers. Stacks have been made in so many themes and colors over the years. Happy members of the American Crafts family of products, they continue their pursuit of serving the consumer and their crafty needs with new paper stacks releasing several times a year in updated themes and colors. You can find them online at the DCWV website HERE and in a variety of craft stores. Check out the DCVW Instagram HERE for some amazing inspiration!!

For each flower I made a center with a fringe wrapped around a section of floral wire.  I then cut out around 20-24 petals in a different colors and glued each one around the center.  Some petals are cut with a pointed shape, some are with a rounded shape, this makes for two different looking flowers, but is made with the same technique!

Check out all the other amazing projects from the wonderful designer in the DCC in the link HERE!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Simple and EASY Newspaper, Tissue, and Paper Towel Flowers

Making art out of simple things is wonderful.  Take a little bit fo newspaper and some glue, you can make amazing flowers!!  I learned how to make flowers using two different EASY methods, that evenr kids can do.  My 5 year old had a blast making the flowers right next to me.

Here is a video on how to make these wonderful flowers, two different methods!

You start with some pretty easy materials.  Some newspaper, but I acutally used the circlar ads that come in my mailbox since we do not get a true newspaper, and some Supertite White School Glue.  This glue is amazing since it has the lowest chemicals of any kids glue out on the market!

Coupon for 10% off your Supertite order of $5 or more

We also did a few flowers in tissue paper, the smae paper you use for packing or for gift bags!

A little bit of mist on the flowers and they look amazing!!  I used the Dragonfly Tattered Agnels Glimmer mist on the flowers above and below.  Thge flower above is using the twisting method in the video.

The flower above is using the rolling flower method.

We also misted a few flowers in Party Pink Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

I tried a few flowers using the tissue packing paper, they are fuller and just as fun to make!

When using mist I always put a paper towel under my projects to aid in the cleanup process.  This time instead of just throwing then away, I thought why not make a flower of the paper towel, it looks a lot like a tie dye shirt!

Here is a video on how I made these fun paper towel flowers!

Since I used two colors of mists, some of the flowers became a two toned color flower, and they are still all held together with Supertite White School Glue!

What do you make flowers out of?

Upcycled Framed Rolled Paper Flower Decor

Have some old frames lying around?  Grab a little paint and some paper to make some cool rolled paper flowers you can place into the frame for a cool home decor piece!!

Here is a video on how to make this super easy home decor piece.

Have of the work is done for you with the DCWV Party Paper Stack, it has 4 sheets with 4 rolled flowers all ready for you to start creating.

These flowers are so simple with the help of my Xyron Mega runner.  Add some adhesive to the bottom section of the spiral and stick it down, so easy!!

I altered the frame by painting it white.  It just looked better with a white frame than the original black.

I made all the flowers in the DCWV Paper Party Stack, and used them all!  Just check out the 4 different types of flowers from this paper pack.

I cut a section of the peach colored paper from the stack and used the Xyron Creative Station with the Permanent Refill to make it sticky all along the front of the paper.  I placed the paper inside the frame and stuck each flower to the stick paper.

There are so many fun uses for this pretty framed paper flower decor item, from a simple piece of wall art to a wedding decor item.  Change the colors, size, shapes of the flowers - so many options!!

So what would you make with a frame and paper?

Check out how to make a succulent version of this project as well in the video below!

DIY Hyacinth Foil Flowers **Rinea & Beacon**

I love to make paper flowers, and when I can make them 3 dimensional it is even better!!  I love the beauty of the Rinea foils about how they shimmer, sparkle, and retain the shape you put them in as you roll it.  So I thought what would be a fun flower for spring, a hyacinth!!

The Rinea foil is perfect for this project as the paper holds it shape wonderfully when you roll it.  It also has a this amazing sparkly shimmer because it is foil!!  Here is a video on how to make these fun flowers!

They have flown to a conference and back and have still held their shape wonderfully!

I made these flowers in soft pastels, with one is a deep purple.

The glossy Rinea paper have a color on one side and gold on the back, so it really makes for a beautiful looking flower!

Now go out and make some pretty flowers!!!

Supplies
Foil - Rinea Foil
Pencil
Cutter/Scissors - Fiskars
Stick or Paintbrush
Glue - Beacon Adhesives
