Upcyled Jars with Fringe Trim for Wedding or Hula Party Decor

I love to take something that would normally go in the recycle bin or even the trash and turn it into something fun and useful!  Check out my upcycled jars that can be used for party decor with a little fringe and other cute trims.  Depending on the color and trims used they can be made for weddings or even a hula party!!  Lets start with the hula jars first.

These super cute jars can be used for so many fun events.  First you can use them for just storage of your crafty supplies.  I gave a few of these to my kids teacher for a fun end of year gift!

You can also use them as a vase for flowers!!

Add your plastic cutlery in them for a fun hula summer outdoor or indoor party!

Really you can add just about anything into these fun food safe jars for any type of party, even a kids Moana themed party!!  Here is a jar with straws.

Try adding a few jars together for a cool trio or set as a centerpiece in your hula party!

These jars are so easy to make, just a little fringe from Expo International and some pompom trim and you are set!!  Pick any color of fringe and pompoms to make it your own.  To hold all the layers of fringe and pompom to the jar I used Supertite Universal adhesive.

Changing the color the fringe and adding lace and beads to the top bring a whole different feel to this dressed up jar.  New it take on a whole wedding vibe.

Using the white fringe with the lace and keeping it all white is just so pretty.  The little bit of beaded fringe at the top just looks so elegant.

You can also add a layer of black around the top of the jar in a bead or braided trim.  Instead of black you can also add a layer of trim that is one of the colors of your wedding.

Such an easy and fun way to make an elegant centerpiece for your wedding, some jars, fringe, and lace!

DIY Easy Paper Star Tealight Outdoor Decor

Have an event coming up soon; like a Memorial Day Party, Graduation, Wedding, 4th of July event, or just have a few friends over for dinner?  Here is a quick and easy way to make everything festive by make some star tealight holders.

I made 3 different types depending on what you wanted to use the decor for.  Lets first start with how to make these fun star tealight holders. in my video tutorial.

The first set is all about Memorial Day and 4th of July, everything patriotic!!  Using colors of red, white, and blue makes this a perfect outdoor ideas.  Add in the little star tealights from the Dollar Tree with the cut up flag banners and you are set for an amazing party!!

Paired with the white embossed paper from DCWV and red start stuck paper from Rinea it makes this scream patriotic!

Not in the mood for a true red, white and blue.  Try this elegant copper and navy version.  Using the Indigo Kraft & Rose Gold stack from DCWV paired with copper foiled paper make this a true elegant touch to any party.

Perfect for that party that is around memorial day with a touch of elegant chic.  All the layers are held together with the Xyron Mega runner, this amazing adhesive kept these stars together even after being blown off my table while taking pictures.  As it gets dark the tealights start to reflect on the copper in the navy paper and also the copper foiled paper to make a beautiful glow.

What about graduation and weddings?  These are an easy and beautiful decor idea for an outdoor party.  Black and white paper with a touch of metallic make any table come to life!  Add in your school or wedding colors and you have personalized decor that everyone will love!

50th Annivesary Wedding Frame **Deflecto & Eyelet Outlet & Beacon**

My in-laws have their 50th Wedding Anniversary this August and we have have a big family reunion and party to celebrate - shhhhhh it is a surprise!!  For the party I wanted to put out a picture from their wedding day, but I could not just leave it as a plain frame, I had to decorate it!

Here is a video tutorial on how i made the frame including using the washi tape to make the background.

I used the Deflecto 5"x7" Beveled Edge Frame and Eyelet outlet Blue Glitter Washi Tape and Pearl Sticky Back Swirls to add to the elegance of the frame.  The colors match from their wedding colors.

Sometimes adding a few pearls and flowers just add that perfect touch to make an amazing gift!!

Mr & Mrs **Paper House**

Most of the pictures of my wedding were done by the photographer, and our wedding was just at the beginning of digital cameras so we did not get any digital copies of the pictures.  My mother had just bought a digital camera so the pictures are hit and miss.  This is one of the few pictures of my wedding that is not in a bound book, and my very first wedding layout of MY wedding!!  This is a picture of our first dance as husband and wife.
