Outdoor Theme Large Size Pocket Letter

A friend and I are swapping pocket letters for a little bit of fun, but I do not have the traditional pocket size plastic sheet, so I improvised and did mine a little different, I used a set of 4 x 6 picture inserts for an old fashioned photo album.  I had a ton and really why not?

I had a tin of fun playing around with the Simple Stories Cabin Fever paper collection, so many cute papers and stickers, they were a perfect for my pocket letter especially since 2 sheets cut to a perfect 4 x 6 size!!!  One set is a vertical size, how amazing is that!!!

For this set of pockets I also created some cute paperclips using the Xyron 3" sticker maker, so perfect for making fast and easy crafts!!

On the back side of the vertical cards I inserted some DIY magnets made with the Xyron Magnetic Tape with some stamps and dies I had paired with the Simple Stories papers.

There is also a sheet that cuts to be a horizontal 4x6 size, so fun!!

I paired the Simple Stories papers and sticker with some chipboard and wood pieces I had left in my stash.  It added that little extra something!

Pink Military Party Decor Picture Booth Signs in a Decorative Jar

I have lots of friends (including myself) that are in the military or are a military spouse, so I decided to make this fun little picture booth in a jar kit for all of the spouses serving at home.  There are signs you can hold up for taking fun photos like you are in a photo booth, or they can be a table decor for a party, or they can be party favors!!  So many options for this fun little craft.

These would be fun for any girl who has a mom, dad, spouse, sister, or friend who is overseas deployed to give as a gift.  So many possibilities on what it can be used for, and if it helps put a smile on their face until their loved one gets home even better!

The jar is also a fun way to maybe keep track of the days until they get back, drop a coin in for each day, place a chocolate kiss in the jar to be eaten each day, so many fun ways to use just the jar!!

I love the sticker of time to get your camo on, because as the loved one at home we do the work too, in some ways both sides are deployed in their own way!  So thanks to all those of you who have a loved one away, I know your heartache and they will soon be home!

So if you know of someone who has a loved one deployed, reach out to them, being on the homefront is hard too!

Over 36 Ideas for Mixed Media ATC's from Swaps

I have been doing a few ATC swaps either as a single swap or with a group that I send of around 6 and get six back.  ATC's are artist trading cards which are little pieces of artwork that you can create in any style, color, or theme you wish.  Without further ado, here are the ATC's that I made plus the ones I got back from the various swaps I participated in.

CAC Swap - Flowers

The first swap I did was with the group Creative Artists Collaboration, a set of YouTube artists and crafters and the theme was flowers.  I already had some cards made from a project previously so here is the set I had made.

Not everyone one went to this swap, but I had made so many that I still had plenty left to swap with.  The one I got back in return were amazing.  Here is a little graphic of some and click HERE to see the full playlist of all these amazing cards being made!!

Betz - Anything Goes

The next swap I did was with a friend Betz, she said turn in various ATC, if we gave her 10 we get 10 back, and it was an anything goes assignment. You need to check our Betz channel, she has amazing creations.  See her channel HERE.   Here are the ones I sent off, I did a very mixed media style in two different color sets.

 

 

 This first set is all about seafarer grunge, I really had fun with all the layers of grungy goodness!
 

And this is all about yellow and positive words, but still getting my grungy on!!  I got some amazing ATC's back from this swap, here is a little graphic of some, plus a video over video with up close pictures them all.

Betz - Postage Stamp Swap

I then did another swap with Betz all about using a postage stamp.  I did two sets again, one specifically because a friend asked for a green set.  Here is my green set, they were all the same this time around, plus the video below.

I swap one in specific from my friend Keren, she is the one who asked for the green ATC to swap.  And this is the one I got back in return.  It is amazing!  She even has a video on how her made it HERE.  Check out her channel she is amazing!!!

I also did a second set since I did not have enough to send to Betz from my first set (I used a postage stamp with flowers, but only had 5), so I found some patriotic stamps and themed the next set off of that concept of red, white, and blue. 

Each of this set was almost the same, but a different tweak here and there to make them all a little different.  Here is the video on how I made this set.
